Be Safe, Be Prepared, Be Legal. Enroll in our LTC class and upon successful completion, be able to legally carry a handgun everywhere the Law allows. Trophy Tools owner, Lon Krieger, holds LTC classes regularly in Wimberley, Texas, or he can come to your location (anywhere in Texas) for a private class. If you have a group of family or friends, a business, or would like to hold a private class on your ranch, Lon can put together a customized class for your group. Call Lon for details.

Here's How It's Done

The state of Texas mandates several hours of classroom instruction in such topics as where you can and can't carry a handgun and when you can and can't use force or deadly force in a confrontation. After the classroom portion, we conduct the Shooting Proficiency Demonstration. We get it all done in one day.

You also want to go to www.Texas.gov , scroll down to "Our most popular services" and click on "License to Carry a Handgun". From there, you can complete the state application, pay them $40, and schedule the taking of your fingerprints. This can be done before or after the LTC class.

With these steps completed, the state will do their processing and upon satisfying all the requirements, your LTC card will come in the mail. This usually takes about one month.

Improve your Field Shooting Proficiency

There are no shooting benches or sandbags out in the hunting fields. A proficient hunter must know how to make an accurate shot with what is at hand or what he carries with him. What do you do after the shot? Do you really know where you should aim? Is your weapon ready for the hunt? How far is too far? Are you safe to be around in the field?

These are just some of the topics we can address in Field Shooting Skills. Many basics are covered along with topics pertinent to your situation. Classes should be kept small and only you or your group will be involved. Instruction can be tailored to you, your family or friends, colleagues, or if your run a hunting operation, classes can be designed to get your hunting clients safer and more accurate for a more productive and efficient hunting event for them.

Safety is always the first consideration, followed by accuracy, shot placement, follow up after the shot, preparation, gear, what guides appreciate in hunting clients and other subjects. Classes can range from a half day to two days or more. It all depends on you.
